As most residents have begun their yard spring cleaning, the Department of Public Works wants to send out a friendly reminder on how to properly dispose of yard waste.
-Yard trimmings should be containerized in either paper lawn bags or 35-gallon trash cans or containers.
-Tree limbs can be no larger than 4 inches in diameter and must be cut into lengths of no more than 3 feet. The limbs must be tied into bundles and cannot be larger in 18 inches in total diameter.
-Residents are reminded to place your yard waste at the curb before 6:00 AM most Wednesdays, according to the sanitation calendar.
**Please note: yard waste that is not containerized or bundled as described above will not be collected.
