Rye Brook’s seasonal gas leaf blower ban begins on May 1, 2024 and will then be in effect annually between May 1st to September 30th. During that time, electric leaf blowers are allowed but gas-powered leaf blowers cannot be used except for utility companies and when paving or sealing driveways.
Chapter 158, Section 2.1 (E) of the Village Code allows property owners that maintain five (5) or more contiguous acres to request that the Village Board consider a full or partial exemption and/or extension of the seasonal leaf blower ban due to special circumstances. (more)
