Joint Proposal Filed with PSC on Veolia Water Rate Case: Public Comments Requested by Mar. 1, 2024:
A Joint Proposal for the Veolia water rate case has been filed with the Public Service Commission (PSC) by Veolia, the PSC trial staff, Rye City, Port Chester, Rye Brook, and two other agencies. The Joint Proposal would cover the period February 1, 2024 through December 31, 2027. The levelized increases each year are 5.9%, 5.9%, 5.9%, 5.4% for the Rye City, Port Chester and Rye Brook rate district. The rates will be different (higher) in the New Rochelle district area. There will also be a cost share for the est. $48M improvements necessary to serve anticipated Port Chester Development Projects, with 80% funded by the developers and 20% by the Veolia customers, although the 20% funding by customers is included in the current capital budget allocations.
